Tour Package Itinerary

Day 1 : Haridwar - Barkot

Distance/Time : 210 kms/7-8 hr
Height : 1352 MTS

Our driver will meet you at Haridwar. From Haridwar, drive for Barkot via Mussoorie. Visit the scenic Mussoorie Lake and Kempty Fall in Mussoorie. Later move to Barkot. Arrive at the hotel in Barkot and relax. Enjoy overnight stay in Barkot.

Mussoorie - Mussoorie also known as ‘Queen of Hills’ is placed at a height of 2005 mts above the sea level. It is located at a distance of 35kms from Dehradun. It is one of the top hill stations in India that attracts tourist from all round the globe.

Barkot Weather - Summers are pleasant in Barkot. Temperature ranges from 25°C -30°C. In winter nights are cold as temperature ranges from 10°C -5°C

Day 2 : Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot

Distance : 36 kms drive & 6 kms trek (one side)

Get up early and have breakfast. Drive for Jankichatti/Phoolchatti and start the 6 km trek to Yamunotri Dham (You can move to Yamunotri either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost). Take a holy dip in warm water of Jamnabai Kund’s and offer prayers to Goddess Yamuna at Yamunotri temple. After darshan, return to Jankichatti by trek. Later transfer to Barkot. Spend the night in Barkot.

Yamunotri Temple - Yamunotri houses the scared temple devoted to Yamuna devi. Thousands of devotees take the pious journey to Yamunotri Dham and pay homage to deity of Yamuna. Pilgrims get the pleasing view of River Yamuna which flow alongside the temple.

Yamunotri Weather - In summer temperature ranges from 6°C to 20°C. The ideal time to visit Yamunotri Dham is from April to June and September to November. During winters, climate gets harsh with heavy snowfall and roads get blocked.

Day 3 : Barkot - Uttarkashi

Distance/Time : 100 kms/4 hr
Height : 1352 MTS

After morning breakfast, drive for Uttarkashi. Check into the hotel arrival in Uttarkashi. Relax and later adore the nearby places of Uttarkashi. Visit Kashi Vishwanath temple in Uttarkashi. Return and enjoy the overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Vishwanath Temple - Vishwanath temple is one of the prominent temples of Uttarkashi that is placed on the banks of river Bhagirathi. The temple is devoted to Lord Shiva and is believed to have been built by Sage Parshuram. It was later renovated by Maharani Khaneti, wife of Sudarshan Shan in 1857.

Uttarkashi Weather - Weather is hot during summers and temperature ranges from 30-35°C. In winters climate gets cold.

Day 4 : Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi

Distance : (100kms/3-4 each side)
Height : 3048 MTS

In morning after breakfast move to Gangotri. Stop at Gangnani which lies en route. Take holy dip in thermal water spring of Rishikund. Further, drive to Gangotri via Harsil Valley. Allure the breathtaking views of high peaks and dense forests in Harsil. Reach Gangotri and offer prayers to Goddess Ganga. Later after darshan drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Gangotri Temple - Gangotri is the birthplace of Devi Ganga. River Ganga emerges from Gangotri glacier also called Gaumukh. Thousands of devotees flock to the temple every year to seek blessings of Goddess Ganga.

Gangotri Weather - In Gangotri summer season starts in April and end in the month of May. The maximum temperature reaches around 25°C. April to June and September to November is the best time to travel the holy city of Gangotri.

Day 5 : Uttarkashi - Guptkashi

Distance/Time : 220kms/8-9 hr
Height : 1319 MTS

After early breakfast proceed to Guptkashi via Moolgarh & Lambgoan. Drive alongside the mystical Mandakini River and relish the enchanting views. Also visit Ardh Narishwar temple in Guptkashi. Transfer into the hotel in Guptkashi. Overnight stay at Guptkashi.

Guptkashi - Located 47 kms before the Keadarnath Dham, Guptkashi is a religiously popular town of Uttarakhand. It houses many ancient temples like Vishwanath temple and Ardhnareshwar temple. One of the major attractions of this place is Manikarnik Kund, a place where two holy rivers Gang and Yamuna meets.

Guptkashi Weather - Guptkashi experience pleasing weather during summers with temperature ranging from 25-30°C. During winters the weather gets cold.

Day 6 : Guptkashi - Kedarnath - Guptkashi

Distance : 30 kms by road & 19 kms trek one way
Height : 3384 MTS

You can travel to Kedarnath either by helicopter or by trek.

By Helicopter : In the morning driver will transfer you directly to prebook helipad. After darshan, driver will drop you back to hotel. (Helicopter ticket is not included in the package)

By Trek : In the morning our driver will drop you at Sonprayag. From Sonprayag take the local jeep for Gaurikund. Start the 18 km trek to Gaurikund to reach Kedarnath. Reach Kedarnath temple and seek blessings of Lord Shiva. After darshan you follow same and back to Sonprayag.

In Sonprayag there is huge parking issue and driver won’t be able to stay at Sonprayag.  So, please do coordinate with driver. There is network issue also, you may have to arrange other taxi or wait for the driver.

Kedarnath - Kedarnath, hidden in the lap of Himalayas is one of the paramount holy sites in India. Pilgrims from all across the globe embark the journey to Kedarnath Dham to find solace and spiritual peace.

Kedarnath Mandir is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The temple is also one of the 275 temples of Paadal Petra Sthalams (the most powerful Shiva temples in the world), expounded in Tevaram.

Kedarnath Weather - Kedarnath climate during summers is pleasing with average around 17°C. The months May to June and then in September and October is the best time to visit Kedarnath. Due to heavy rainfall Kedarnath temple remain closed during winters. Heavy snowfall blocks the road and temperature drops to sub-zero levels.

Day 7 : Guptkashi-Badrinath

Height : 3133 MTS

Early morning after breakfast drive to Badrinath. On arrival shift to the hotel in Badrinath. Take holy bath in the hot water of Taptkund and move to Badrinath Temple. Pay homage to Badrinarayan and witness the blissful evening aarti. Explore the tourist destinations like Mana Village, Charanpaduka, Vyas Gufa, Bhimkund, Maatamoorti and Bhim Pul. Later move in to hotel and overnight stay at Badrinath.

  • Tapt Kund - Tapt Kund is a natural thermal spring that is placed on the bank of Alaknanda River. Devotees before entering the Badrinath temple take bath in the holy water of kund.
  • Mana Village - Mana is a scenic hamlet that is inhabited with Indo-Mangolian tribe. It is the last village at China border of Indian region.
  • Vasudhara - Vasudhara is a mystical waterfall that is located in Mana village. The waterfall drops from a height of 400 feet around 122 meters above sea level.
  • Vyas Gufa - Vyas Gufa is an antique rock cave that is located in the Mana village on the banks of holy Saraswati River.
  • Bhim Pul- Bheem Pul is a natural rock forming a natural bridge over Saraswati River and is located in Mana Village. It is at a distance of 3 km from Badrinath.

Badrinath Weather - During summer the climate gets moderate which makes it the best time to enjoy a pleasant pilgrimage to Badrinath. In winters average minimum temperature falls to 5°C. The best time to visit Badrinath Dham is during summers from May to June and then in September and October

Day 8 : Badrinath - Joshimath - Rudraprayag

Distance/Time : 160 kms/7 hr
Height : 895 MTS

After early breakfast leave for Rudraprayag via Joshimath. En route visit Narsingh temple in Joshimath. Later, move back to Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Transfer to the hotel in Rudraprayag. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.

Joshimath - Joshimath is one of the four maths or monasteries that were established by Adi Guru Shankaracharya in 8th century AD. It is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Joshimath holds religious importance as it is the winter adobe of Lord Badri.

Rudraprayag Weather - The weather gets hot during summers and temperature ranges from 35-40°C.  Winters days are pleasant but nights get cold and temperature ranges from 20°C-5°C.

Day 9 : Rudraprayag - Haridwar

Distance/Time : 165 kms/5-6 hr

Get up early and have breakfast. Move to Haridwar via Rishikesh. Reach Rishikesh and explore the main attractions of this place. Visit Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla and various Rishikesh temples & ashrams. Later drop at Haridwar.

Rishikesh - Situated beside the holy Ganga River, Rishikesh is a scenic town placed in Northern Uttarakhnad. Tourist from all across the globe visits the city to learn yoga and meditation and is popularly known as ‘Yoga Capital of the World’. Rishikesh has become a great center for hiking, rock climbing, bungee jumping and many more adventure activities. The splendid view of river Ganga amidst the dense greenery makes this place picturesque.
