Kedar Massif is formed by three mountains ranges-Kedarnath, Kedar Dome and Bharatekuntha. It is loomed at an altitude of around 6000 m. Kedar Massif is the point where many glaciers flow, one of which is Mandakini glacier.
Agastyamuni is a prominent temple devoted to the great sage Agastya. It is said that the sage meditated at this place for one year. The temple is located 70 kms from Kedarnath on the bank of River Mandakini. One can see the carvings of the Hindu god and goddess on the temple walls which depict the ancient archaeological style.
Kalimath is a famous Hindu pilgrimage that is devoted to Goddess Kali in Garhwal. The Kali temple located here is a renowned one. It is believed Goddess killed the demon Raktavija at this place. There are around 108 Shakti Peethas in India and Kalimath is one of them.
Triyuginarayan is a scenic village located in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Triyuginarayan Temple located in the village is a famous pilgrim spot. The temple is devoted to Lord Vishnu. What makes this temple prominent is that it was the venue of the celestial marriage of Shiva and Parvati.
