What is the best time to visit Badrinath?

Due to heavy snowfall Badrinath Dham remain closed during winters. The ideal time to visit Badrinath Dham is during summers from May to June and then in September and October.

How to reach Badrinath from Delhi or Haridwar?

Badrinath is located at a distance of 540 km from Delhi and 320 km from Haridwar. Badrinath is well connected by road network of Delhi and Haridwar. It is difficult to find direct bus to Badrinath from Delhi. One has to travel to Rishikesh or Haridwar and then take another vehicle from here to Badrinath. Flights are easily available from Delhi to Dehradun (Jolly Grant Airport).

Haridwar is well connected to road and railway network of Badrinath. From Haridwar one can hire a car or board a bus to Badrinath.

Are food and accommodation facilities available in Badrinath?

How to perform pooja archana inside Badrinath Temple?

All the poojas/sevas in the Badrinath temple takes place in attendance of devotees. The devotees join for puja after taking a dip in the Tapt Kund. Booking for special poojas can be done in advance at Badrinath Mandir Committee. Devotees can also offer some special Badrinath Pooja or Aarti or offer Bhog to the Lord. For such special aarti or puja they’ll have to deposit a specific amount in treasury of temple.
